I love being able to play in the garden on those cold wet west coast winter days.

Everything is thriving in it and every time I walk inside, it awakens the senses; the smell and vibrant colours of the plants.

We have lettuce, tomatoes, zucchini, potatoes, red onion, cucumber, peas, and green onions.

I've turned a small section for just sitting and having coffee or a good book and smelling all the tomatoes and lemon verbena.

We're using 100% compost in our first year and having amazing peppers, cucumber and eggplants.

Fairly easy to heat even in early spring in British Columbia.
