About Terra 17

Step into the world of efficient agriculture with the Planta "Terra" 17 Greenhouse, the ideal solution for commercial growers aiming to maximize smaller spaces.

The Terra 17 is expertly constructed from 1mm thick galvanized iron. It features arch supports joined by purlins and solid end frames for added durability. It extends 5 metres wide, 17 metres long, and 3.6 metres high, offering abundant space to nurture a wide variety of crops efficiently.

Assembly of the greenhouse is straightforward. It can be installed on a traditional foundation using cleater angles or embedded directly into the soil with special frame endings. Doors at both ends facilitate easy access and enhance airflow, creating an ideal climate for crop growth.

Customize your Terra 17 with these optional upgrades:

  • Add an extra 2.1 meters in length with our modular extension kits.

Shipping

Planta's commercial greenhouses require special shipping and delivery. Please read to learn how it works:

  • We will contact you to confirm shipping price, based on your location and order size.
  • The average shipping fee for commercial greenhouses is between $1000 to $2000. Remote areas might be more.
  • Receiver must have a suitable forklift (preferably with extensions) to offload the shipment. The largest skid is 10' by 8'.
  • Other delivery options are available upon request.
  • When you place your order, please make sure to enter the correct Phone and Address at checkout. You will be contacted by phone before the item is shipped. We cannot be responsible for deliveries to incorrect addresses.
  • As part of the delivery process, we require a contactable telephone number (for the delivery company to contact you) before the item is shipped.
  • We do not ship to PO Boxes, as you will need to sign for your item.  
  • Orders placed on weekends and public holidays will be processed the next business day.

Side Ventilation Windows

Can I add windows for my greenhouse later?

Roof ventilation windows work as an add-on and can be installed only once the greenhouse installation is complete. Windows can be added later as well.

How do the automatic side ventilation windows work?

Our Automatic Side Ventilation Windows do not require batteries or electricity. A heat-activated mechanism opens and closes the window once a certain temperature is reached.

How many side ventilation windows are recommended for the greenhouse?

It is strongly recommended to go with an even amount of roof ventilation windows. This is so you can place at least one on either side of the greenhouse. The amount of windows required depends on the greenhouse size, the climate you are in, and the types of crops that will be grown inside the greenhouse.

What are the opening and maximum opening temperatures for the Automatic Side Vents?

The opening temperature is between 17 °C and 25°C, while the maximum opening is at 30 °C.
